Amir Belson

Amir Belson, MD, Founder and CEO

Amir Belson, M.D., founded Neoguide Systems, which Intuitive Surgical acquired in 2009. Vascular Pathways, a vascular intervention technology acquired by C R Bard. Zipline Medical, a wound closure technology company, was acquired by Stryker. Qool Therapeutics is a minimally invasive therapeutic hypothermia technology company. Radiaction Medical is a radiation protection medical device company. Emboline, which develops proprietary embolic protection technology. Modular Surgical develops new minimally invasive surgery technology, and PAFA develops atrial fibrillation ablation technology.

Dr. Belson also serves as a board director of Relimetrics and QT Vascular.

Belson graduated cum laude from the School of Medicine of the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, in Haifa, Israel. He did his pediatric residency at Dana Children’s Hospital in Tel Aviv and his pediatric nephrology fellowship at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University. Belson also spent one year as a research fellow with Stanford’s Biomedical Technology Innovation Program.

He is the author of 34 medical papers and abstracts and has more than 750 issued and pending patents.

Raul Leyte-Vidal

Raul Leyte-Vidal, Chief Operating Officer

Raul Leyte-Vidal serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Venocare, Inc. He has been actively involved in overseeing the company’s operations since 2021. Raul has dedicated more than 20 years to the development of interventional and vascular access devices. In 2012, his collaboration with Dr. Belson at Vascular Pathways was a significant milestone. He played a crucial role in supervising the development activities that led to the market launch of the AccuCath Peripheral IV catheter, which was later acquired by CR Bard in 2015. Aside from his professional pursuits, he strongly believes in the potential of vascular access and the creation of innovative products to enhance the healthcare experience for both patients and caregivers. During his leisure time, he enjoys working on house projects, flying small airplanes, going on fishing trips, and spending time with his loved ones on a sandy beach. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Florida International University and a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Miami.

Steve Lotz

Steve Lotz, Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Steve has a successful, over 20-year track record of bringing transformative technologies to market and building outstanding commercial teams. He most recently served as VP of Sales at Radiaction Medical. At Radiaction Medical, he introduced their novel the technology to the US and was an integral part of all commercial efforts. Prior to Radiaction, Steve was the VP of Sales at ZipLine Medical, Inc., where he built and led the sales team from commercialization to a successful acquisition by Stryker Corporation. Steve has also held key sales management roles at Knee Creations (now Zimmer Biomet), PEAK Surgical (now Medtronic) and ArthroCare Medical (now Smith+Nephew). Steve has BS in Biology from the University of South Florida.

Cheryl Campos

Cheryl Campos, Vice President of Clinical Affairs

Dr. Cheryl Campos is the Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Venocare, Inc., where she plays a pivotal role in the development and clinical strategy of the company’s innovative vascular access devices. With over 20 years of Emergency Nursing experience, Cheryl has a distinguished career in Clinical Performance Improvement and Peer Review, coupled with her expertise as a Critical Care Nurse Educator across various specialties, including the Emergency Department, Cath Lab, Diagnostic Imaging, Telemetry, Pediatrics, and Outpatient Infusion Centers.

Cheryl earned her BSN from California State University, Chico, her MSN from the University of Phoenix, and her DNP from Capella University. She holds board certifications in Nursing Professional Development and Vascular Access and is a Certified Emergency Nurse and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.

At Venocare, Cheryl is focused on enhancing patient outcomes through the development and improvement of vascular access devices designed to improve first attempt success, limit complications, and elevate the standard of care provided by clinicians. Her extensive experience in teaching, project facilitation, and implementation, along with her national and international presentation experience, underpins her commitment to advancing the field of vascular access and ensuring excellence in patient care.
